Ángeles Lladró Visits the United States and Canada to Introduce the New Limited Edition Piece Elegant Foxtrot

Ángeles Lladró, Vice-President of Lladró, the world renowned creator of fine porcelain art, will visit the United States and Canada in October to meet Lladró aficionados and sign their purchases.

During the visit, Angeles Lladró will celebrate the art of ballroom dancing with Elegant Foxtrot, a new limited edition piece of 3,000 units.

Elegant Foxtrot is a dynamic and graceful creation that masterfully captures in porcelain the flowing movements of this romantic dance; an exquisite display of technical precision and artistic expression.

Foxtrot is a smooth progressive dance characterized by long, continuous flowing movements across the dance floor. The piece not only captures the dynamism and grace of this dance, but masterfully manages to capture movement in porcelain. This is especially noticeable in the pleaded skirt and scarf of the female dancer, as well as the long tuxedo jacket of the male, which are suspended in the air, frozen in the instant of a dancing step. The dancers have their leg stretched out back, making it technically challenging to keep the balance of the piece in the kiln.  It is also worth highlighting the expressive effect of the chromatic contrast between the impeccable black tuxedo of the man, and the lady’s white gown.

ÁNGELES LLADRÓ

Ángeles Lladró is the daughter of Juan Lladró, the eldest of the three founding Lladró brothers. She joined the Lladró Board of Directors in 2003 and she also represents the family at official acts and promotional events. Since 2007 Ángeles shares the management of the company with her sister Rosa, working side by side together with their father, Juan Lladró. Currently, Ángeles is Vice-President of Lladró.

ABOUT LLADRÓ

Lladró was established by the brothers Juan, José and Vicente Lladró in 1953 in Valencia, Spain. Since then, the brand has undergone an amazing metamorphosis from an artisan workshop to a huge firm that holds a presence in over 120 countries and is at the forefront of contemporary porcelain design. All Lladró pieces are the fruit of a painstaking handmade process of creation, still carried out entirely in the workshops of The City of Porcelain, in Valencia. The highest artistic and technical quality is achieved in each phase of this process.
