On October 2, Covalingua and Cova Solutions presented its MBO Program Workshop Moving Business Operations between the US and Spain to members of the US-Spain Chamber of Commerce. The event, which coincided with the televised presidential debate, drew a full house and gathered over 25 NYC-based business people interested in the four modules of the workshop, namely: Knowing Before You Land; Managing Your Expat Employees Before & Upon Arrival; Developing /Adapting Marketing & Communication Strategies and Localization; Training & Retaining Multicultural Human Capital.

"The purpose of this program is to put all members of a mobilized team on the same page in the most time efficient and consistent manner, regardless of when they incorporate themselves to the workforce. Putting expatriate and new employees through this 8 hour program reduces the downtime associated with moving an office or team to a foreign location, facilitates the quick integration of the expatriate employee to his/her new environment and puts an exclamation point over the most challenging cultural differences and managerial styles that the team will have to face," says Mariah Fike, Cultural Consultant for Cova Solutions Group.

Topics such as "The Role of the Leader Spain–US" and "Key Legal Issues for Spanish Companies Doing Business in the U.S.” are presented during the workshop by Cova Solutions’ guest speakers.
Future MBO workshops will be announced through the US-Spain Chamber Newsletter. US-Spain Chamber members enjoy a 10% discount when contracting any of the MBO program modules.
