   United States-Spain Council

To promote and foster relations between the governments of the Kingdom of Spain and the United States of America and business leaders, The United States-Spain Council and its parallel organization, The Fundación Consejo España-EEUU play host to annual forums. These events alternate between Spain and the United States each year with the Inaugural session held in Seville in 1995. The fourteenth forum took place on October 9th to 11th 2009 in Valencia, Spain.

The Chamber, invited as a guest to the forum, was represented by Vice Chairman Mr. Albert Garrofé and Executive Director Mrs. Bisila Bokoko. Director of the Board Mr. Ivan Mattei also attended this event in representation of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, member of the Council.

These conferences consist of three days of discussion and presentations on given topics currently affecting both countries. Past speakers have included Ambassadors to both nations, CEO's of mayor banks, Presidents of universities, high ranking government agency officials and Royalty representing all interests.
